During the walk a variety of plants will be identified and discussed to give participants an understanding of the abundance of medicinal plants in our fields, hedgerows and gardens.
Kaye can identify many of the plants growing in the natural environment and give practical information about how best to harvest the wild medicine available throughout March – October.
Reliable harvesting guidelines for many roots as well as leaves, flowers and fruits will be discussion points as well as the legal obligations we must adhere to as foragers.
Each location is different and hence every walk will be too. However, the same area can be covered 3 times a year and provide a whole new materia medica each time!
